Hino of Hamilton
Hino of Hamilton President Bill Grisdale is a pillar in his community. He continues to run multiple businesses at his Brock Road location, and he somehow finds time to work with community organizations as well.

Bill enjoyed moderate success racing off road trucks in the 1970s. Like most fierce competitors, Bill and his friend and mechanic Harry Plastow sought speed anywhere they could. They knew that lighter means faster, so weight shed from their truck would bring faster acceleration and higher top speeds.

They determined that using lightweight fibreglass instead of the heavy steel truck body would save a great deal of weight, and they were right. They found a manufacturer in California capable of serving their needs, but the company was swamped with work. There was also the small matter of exchange rates, shipping, and customs brokers making the idea prohibitively expensive.

Armed with limited knowledge and a fibreglass roller Bill began production of his first fibreglass truck body. The idea was successful, and soon racers demanded he produce their bodies as well. A small shop was built next to his house, and Grisdale Enterprises was born.

The company grew through hard work and reliable service.

Today – more than 30 years later – the fibreglass shop is gone, but Bill Grisdale still works at helping racers in their quest for success. Grisdale Racing Products remains an important part of Grisdale Enterprises, but it makes up just one piece of Bill's family-run business.

Run together with his daughter Tammy, and son-in-law Adam, Grisdale Enterprises now operates numerous businesses operating on one property: Grisdale Racing Products, Hino of Hamilton truck dealership, Grisdale OK Tire and Auto Service, Grisdale Auto Sales, and Ry-Matt Mini Storage named after his grandchildren Ryan and Matt.

Bill proudly received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the local Chamber of Commerce in 2009, and he still believes in hard work and reliable service to his many customers.
